Massage is used for many beneficial reasons, such as; improved circulation, better skin condition, increased feeling of wellbeing, reduction in levels of stress, and general relaxation.
Once you have experienced a body massage, you will feel invigorated, and will certainly appreciate these many benefits. Those of you who are regularly active, will further benefit from a sports massage as it is increasingly becoming a recognised as a skill which may aid recovery and enhance performance.
The muscles within ours bodies are all made up from a large number of individual fibres. If not looked after correctly, over time these muscles can bunch together, becoming tight and often sore.
With the aid of special massage techniques I will be able to manipulate these fibres, focusing on any specific areas of tension. Through sports massage therapy, these muscle fibres can be realigned, which in turn helps muscle recovery, and improves the general condition of the muscle.
Massage, applied skilfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the muscular-skeletal system.
